Not to advertise McDonalds, but reading posts about children reminds me of a few years ago when I went into McDonalds and there before me was a girls’ soccer team. It inspired this poem. I don’t know if McDonalds has hot tea, but it went better here than coffee!

I went into McDonald’s
To buy a cup of tea
But a crowd of little girls
Was there in front of me.

A girls’ soccer team
Had won their game that day
And now they came to lunch
So they could celebrate.

They hugged and danced around
While waiting for their lunch.
It made me smile to watch
The antics of this bunch.

I drank my cup of tea
And then went on my way
But those rambunctious children
Gave me smiles all day.
