GOD’S GRACE

GOD’S GRACE

Hopeless and helpless, weary and worn,

men wander lost, no light for their way.

Searching and looking, day after day,

lives all in pieces, shattered and torn.

Grabbing at straws, they find their lives shorn

of love, joy and peace. Their life’s cord is frayed,

empty of meaning, simply a game.

Wandering and lost, they’re weary and worn.

Look up! for God’s grace is raining on earth

upon those who hear and answer his call

he’s offered to men since Adam’s great fall,

from life in the garden he’d had from his birth,

from joy in God’s presence to loss of all mirth.

But God’s life and love will break down death’s wall

when men come to Him in response to His call.

Then angels rejoice for men have new birth.
