An apartment complex I lived in was several buildings, each with 3 floors and 4 apartments on each floor. In each building, the entrance went floor to ceiling and a large chandelier looked out over the parking lots in front of it. The shed light made the parking safer and I loved looking out my patio door and seeing the chandelier in the buildings across the way. They made me think of heaven’s light.

Heaven’s crystal chandelier pours its light
onto the parking lot of life,
when darkness chills the air.
God’s Spirit’s golden beams lead to His place
piercing the shadows of the night,
cheering hearts chilled by fears
of what lies in those shadows,
that wait to destroy any
who carelessly wander off the path.
No enemy of night can capture those
who put their lives in His hands.

May God’s Spirit guide your life.
